Project Impact Community Webinar Series: Getting to what matters while social distancing

Steve Patty

We’ve heard from some of you that it’s a struggle to keep your evaluation alive during this time of so much change and uncertainty. We’ve also been inspired by some great examples from some of you who have figured out new ways to use evaluation to stay focused on what really matters during these unprecedented times. This gave us the perfect topic to kick off our quarterly community webinar series! Join us on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 9:30 AM Pacific Time to learn more.

You have been making an impact in people’s lives. But we know that many of you are in the midst of adapting your programs to meet the challenges of life with the new coronavirus. It’s is causing all of us to rethink how to have impact. It’s also causing us to rethink evaluation.

You might imagine that this is the worst time to do evaluation. And maybe, for your team, it is. But this also might be a tremendous opportunity. This might be the perfect time for evaluation.

Evaluation can connect you to people, help you calibrate to their lived experience, adjust or even redesign your programs, and propel you forward. Evaluation can be a tool for real and authentic engagement. It can also help people think about their goals and dreams and the progress they are making toward those. It can reignite the passion of people for the impact you are having.

In this webinar, we will discuss:

  • How you can use your evaluation for engagement during Covid-19

  • Tips and techniques for interviewing while social distancing How to mobilize your team, even when they are stressed

  • What it means to refocus on impact during a time of uncertainty

We will also be sharing some examples of teams doing evaluation right now, right in the middle of it all. These examples will inspire you.

We look forward to seeing you!

We’ll be reviewing basics like how to write interview questions, sampling, holding an interview, data collection and data analysis. We’ll also share some new ideas like techniques to collect and use meaningful data quickly to inform your work. We’ll share the topics for our upcoming webinars in the Dialogues Digest each month. If you have a topic that you want to make sure we cover, let us know! Tag us @dialoguesimpact on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn to share your ideas!
